Learn About Risk In Forex Trading

Forex, also known as foreign exchange, FX or currency trading, is a decentralized global market where all the world's currencies trade. The forex market is the largest, most liquid market in the world with an average daily trading volume exceeding $5 trillion. All the world's combined stock markets don't even come close to this. But what does that mean to you? Take a closer look at forex trading and you may find some exciting trading opportunities unavailable with other investments. In the forex trading marketplace, when we refer to execution we mean the speed at which a foreign exchange trader can actually buy or sell what they see on their screen or what they are quoted as bid/ask price over the phone. A good price makes no sense if your bank or broker cannot fill your order fast enough to get that bid/ask price.

There is no central marketplace for currency exchange ; trade is conducted over the counter. The forex market is open 24 hours a day, five days a week, except for holidays, and currencies are traded worldwide among the major financial centers of London, New York, Tokyo, Zürich, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris and Sydney. The forex is the largest market in the world in terms of the total cash value traded, and any person, firm or country may participate in this market.

The average spreads shown here are calculated throughout the day. They tend to be narrower under normal market conditions. However, spreads may widen following important news announcements, during political uncertainty, unexpected events leading to volatile market conditions or at the close of the business day and on weekends when liquidity is lower. When you trade with us Trading Point is your counter-party. Your trades are matched and any next exposure above predefined thresholds is hedged with our partner banks (our liquidity providers) at the current market spread. However, during volatile and illiquid market conditions our liquidity providers quote larger than normal spreads. At such times Trading Point is forced to pass on some of the spread increases to its clients.

Furthermore we like to draw our clients attention to the fact that large price gaps may occur between the market closure on Friday 5 May at 21:00 GMT and market opening on Sunday 7 May. Holding any position over the weekend may lead to substantial losses even if leverage use is reduced.

For six months of working with InstaForex I can say that this broker has never failed me. First of all I would like to mention especially such competitive advantage of the company as bonus programs. I do not know other brokers that provide such big bonuses. InstaForex is particularly known for its reliable staff: employees are always ready to explain clearly and patiently all the details of each service and give a good advice. I like that I can see my statistics concerning the work I have done. I would like to thank everyone who develops the company and makes traders' life easier.
